Fixafella Grandpa's Birthday

Well, I'm a bit late posting and mailing this b-day card but it's the thought that counts right!? I'm loving working with the bellas and fellas by Stamping Bella. I'd better get a move on cause I have 2 other b-day cards to complete this week. Anyway, I'm finding that the Copic Sketch's aren't always the most cooperative in tight spots and it sure is a challenge to make a male card. But overall, I'm pleased with how this card turned out.

Stamped the image with Graphite Black Archival Brilliance on Wausau paper. DP is by K&Co and CS is SU's Chocolate Chip. Both ribbons are also SU. Used the Spellbinder dies and Cuttlebug Swiss Dots. Sentiment is from Hanna Stamps.

Hope you're having a good week.

Ciao Bella

Literally whipped this up in the weeeee hours of the morning while everyone was asleep. Creative juices were not flowing so freely so the card is simple for my first Bella.

Em at Stamping Bella keeps outdoing herself with these awesome Bellas. Take Ipodabella as an example, oooooh to be young and carefree like that again! My sister-in-law turns 22 and this is her birthday card. A-propos don't you think?

Guess what - Stamping Bella is releasing some new stamps this weekend. They've already released Professafella and Stella's Chariot so check-out Stamping Bella for more fun releases this weekend.

April is a Big B - busy busy birthday - month here and this post is gonna be a short one again - sorry. We had 2 birthdays last weekend and we have 2 more this weekend - we love to party. It's great to get together and it's always fun when it's family. Anyway stay tuned, I might be able to squeeze in another Bella or Fella before the weekend's over.

Baby Onesie Cards

I've been meaning to make these cards for a couple of weeks now and although I made them in a rush today, I think they turned out pretty good. These cards were inspired by Lauren Meader whose onesie tutorial is amazing. She isn't kidding when she says it'll only take 10 minutes. These are going to come in handy this year as a couple of my friends are having babies

Can't remember what cs, brads or buttons I used but the trim on the onesies was made with DCWV cardstock. The stamped image is part of SU's So Many Scallops set and was stamped with SU Bashful Blue ink.

I made these cards for two of my work colleagues who recently had grandsons. I would have embellished the cards a bit more but there's no time today as we're going outside to play basketball with my girls before it rains and then we're taking them to see the Backyardigans.

Have a good Sunday!

Pay-it-Forward

I feel honoured that my friend Ellen a.k.a. BUD from Splitcoast thought of me and sent me all these goodies - sorry the pic doesn't do it justice. I'm hoping to have some time soon to play with them. In the meantime, I'm mailing some papercrafting goodies to 3 fellow scrappers as part of the Pay-it-Forward theme. I loved getting this surprise in the mail so I'm not telling who the 3 lucky ones will be so it'll be a surprise for them as well.

Thanks for the goodies Ellen. You can checkout Ellen's Gallery on Splitcoasters under Bud.

Have a good day!

Birthday Cards

It's been an extremely busy couple of weeks and there's no sign of things slowing down anytime soon so I won't be posting daily. I'll do my best to post at least once or twice a week.

My daughter's 8th birthday is coming up and I promised I would MAKE her birthday party invitations. It took me all weekend but I got all 19 of them done. Yup - I said 19 - and although it was a lot of work, I had a great time doing them and more importantly my daughter loves them.

I got my inspiration from Michelle Wooderson's February 21st post on clamshell cards. Checkout her blog over at Mish Mash - she's always got something new and exciting.

I used the largest classic circle scallop and second largest classic circle nestabilities by Spellbinder. The cardstock was DCWV 8x8 package of textured paper and I chose different colours because I didn't have enough sheets in one colour. I stamped the Magnolia with Brilliance Black Graphite and coloured it with Copics. Most of the flowers (Making Memories) were embellished with Robin's Nest baubles. However, the yellow flowers (Artemio) started out white and I coloured them in using my Cadmium Yellow Copic. I was going to put polka dots to match the rain boots but time was of the essence and I didn't want to risk botching that up in the wee hours of the morning so no spots. Ribbon was a mix from Michaels and some SU and glitter pen used on wings for extra sparkle.

Have a great week!
