Happy Mail

Yipee - Look what arrived in the mail the other day! A big hug and thank you to Bernie at Craftyb for sending me this beautiful PIF folder full of stamped images, embellies and yummy chocolate - already eaten - lol. I can't wait to play with these images especially because I don't have any of them myself.

Hanglar Blog Candy

You've got to checkout Heidi's wonderfully generous blog candy! Post a link on your blog for the chance to win a Hanglar and Stanglar stamp and tonnes of stamped images. Love these but don't have any so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Happy blogging!

Fighting Cancer Campaign

Made this card for Phebe at the Town Scrapper for her annual fundraising campaign to help those fighting cancer. I'll be making a few more featuring this stamp and another Magnolia - all of which I got from Phebe.

Contact Phebe if you're interested in participating by donating cards for the campaign. All proceeds from the sale of the cards will be put toward the purchase of mattresses and recliners for the Palliative Care Floor. So if you're looking for a great cause to participate in plus more adorable Magnolia stamps, give Phebe a dingle.

I used SU's Pretty in Pink cs, Swiss Dots Cuttlebug for background, MFT sentiment, Spellbinder scallop die with DCWV textured cs, SU scallop punch, Robin's Nest light pink baubles and the white flowers were kindly sent to me by my friend Ellen - a.k.a. Bud on SCS. The Magnolia stamp was stamped onto Wausau paper with Brilliance Graphite black ink and coloured with Copic Sketchers - a challenge on so tiny a stamp.

That's all for now - apparently all the technology around me is on the fritz. My camera's fixed - pic not great but that's due to moi the photographer - but now my laptop is fried yet again so I'm waiting for the tech to fix it. Until then, the number of postings will depend on how often I'm able to sneak onto my hubby's computer.

Enjoy the weekend and Happy Victoria Day!

Happy Mother's Day

Hope you're being pampered today like Queens! No picture today as the camera's on the fritz. When I get it repaired, I'll have a few cards to post.

Enjoy your day - you deserve it!

Tooth Fairy

My baby girl lost her first tooth tonight and this card along with a little something from the Tooth Fairy is what she's gonna find under her pillow in the morning. She's looking forward to the Tooth Fairy coming as she has heard a lot about her from her older sister. She just can't wait to show-off her new smile at school. I'm excited for her but sad as I realize my baby is growing up and time is flying.

This was a quickie so very little embellishment and no ribbon on the card. My baby's tooth came loose unexpectedly this afternoon and then with some prodding from her - she just couldn't wait for it to come out - it came out tonight at 8 p.m. I couldn't very well tell her that the Tooth Fairy was too busy to stop by and congratulate her. Soooooo I stayed up to make this card and I'm now going to bed at 2 a.m. Stamps are from High Hopes - Archival Brilliance Graphite Black ink on Wausau paper - DCWV paper and CS - Glitter for accenting wings .... etc.

Yahooooooooo - it's Friday! Have a good one.

In the Garden Challenge

Here's a card for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge. This week's challenge is anything to do with gardens. I took a trip with my girls to Mary Maxim's today and couldn't resist this stamp by Art Impressions. It was a lot of work to colour the small areas with the Copics but anything worthwhile takes time and practice right!? - LOL.

I stamped the image on Wausau paper with Archival Brilliance Graphite Black ink. The CS, DP and ribbon is SU. Spellbinder circle and scallop dies were used for the image and the Cuttlebug Tiny Tag dies for the sentiment. The sentiment is a partial High Hopes and the light pink baubles are from Stamping Bella.
Have a good weekend.

Mom's B-day and Papertake Weekly Challenge

Here's a card I made for my mom's birthday, which also fits in with this week's "Elegant Embossing" challenge at Papertake Weekly. Isn't this Tilda just beautiful! My mother loves roses and my girls look so much like this Tilda that I thought it was just the perfect stamp. I purchased the Magnolia stamp from Phebe at the Town Scrapper of course. She just received a new shipment of Magnolias so give her a call as they're going fast.

CS, DP and ribbon is all SU. I used the Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots embossing folder as well as Spellbinder scallop die. The Magnolia was stamped with Archival Brilliance Graphite Black ink onto Wausau paper and coloured with Copics. For embellishments, I used the Sakura gel pen to add sparkle to her wing, Prima flower and Robin's Nest bauble.

It's been a long week and I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to the weekend.
