Checkout Claudia's blog for inspiration galore plus 6 chances to win Magnolia candy. Oooh la la love these stamps and I didn't order the Spring kit this time - wish I had cause they are gorgeous - so any of these would be just fab for Easter! Claudia will pick winners on April 2nd. So hurry, hurry, hurry.

Anyone interested in Copic Ciaos! Checkout Karen's site for the info on how to enter for a chance to win 72 Copic Ciaos - yup I said 72!! I love my Copics and can't get enough of them. Karen also makes beautiful creations so you can expect to visit a while. Candy closes April 10th.

Oooh and my absolute coveted stamps are the Hanglars which aren't shipped to Canada so here's Malin with some beauties. She makes beautiful cards as well so pop over for a visit. Candy closes March 31st.

Spring Break

Short post to let you know I won't be back with a post until March 23. I was hoping to post a few things while on holidays but it's been a very busy time here for the past month and we've all been sick on and off fighting the latest virus going around.

So it's Spring Break here and I want to spend time enjoying my family and just to relax away from the snow and ice. Hope you have a great week and don't forget to enter my blog candy here. There's a prize for both followers and visitors.

Hugs,

Ketto Card Class with Nickybella

Last Wednesday I took a class with the amazing Nickybella at Stamping Bella in Thornhill - located just outside Toronto. Nicky is a blast and an awesome instructor - waving to Nicky! I had loads of fun and got to play with 5 of the newly released Ketto stamps.

Here's a sample of the cards I made in Nicky's class. These are all Nicky's layouts and each card was coloured with a different medium. This one is a tri-fold card with Anise Ketto coloured with both Copics and Lyra pencils.

Kenya Ketto is on a one-layer card coloured with Lyra pencils. Rollanda ~ don't you just love this name ~ on roller skates is paper pieced and coloured with Lyra pencils. The shadow stamp Kenya's standing on is also new to Stamping Bella and designed by none other than Nicky herself.
Sake Ketto was also paper pieced and coloured with Lyras. Phoebe was coloured with Pearlescent chalk and this was the first time I used chalk to colour an image. Kind of cool using the chalk.

Pop on over to Nicky's blog Creations by Nicky for more yummy inspiration and leave her a comment to let her know you visited. Also checkout Stamping Bella's site for more info on ordering these cute whimsical stamps. There's 20 Ketto girl images plus additional Ketto accessory stamps. Ooooh and the stamps are made by a fellow Canadian so I'm doubley pleased. Don't forget to enter my blog candy here for a chance to win one of two prizes ~ one prize is a Stamping Bella gift certificate.

Cheers,
Maria

Birthday Pouch & CCT Challenge 49

Edited to add: I'm entering the Cute Card Thursday Challenge #49 called Animal Magic. This week's challenge requires an animal somewhere on your card or other item. I think this pouch qualifies with the cute puppy.

Happy Sunday! First saw this diaper fold pouch on Claudia and Inge's blogs and made this one for my youngest to give to her little friend for her birthday next weekend. It's going to be filled with a few Littlest Pet Shops and a gift card to Claire's - a Knick Knacky store for girls. It took me a little longer to complete with this cold that has me all stuffed up one minute and running for kleenex the next - ugh.

I'm happy with the way it turned out but found it tricky to fold glittered DP. It tends to crack so I also tried making a pouch with another double-sided non-glittered DP and it turned out better with no cracking - I'll post it later this week. Surprisingly, you don't need tape for this and as long as your paper is square, you can make the pouch in different sizes. I used a 12x12 sheet of DP.

This adorable Tilda with Puppy image is from Magnolia's 2009 Love Collection. Just when I thought I finished the pouch, I realized I coloured Tilda as a brunette but the birthday girl is dark blonde. Instead of colouring a new image, I decided to first try to 'fix' the hair colour. I went over the 2 browns I originally used for the hair with a yellow-based Copic a few times and it lightened Tilda's hair. I like how it turned out and the more I use my Copics, the more comfortable I'm getting experimenting with them.

Gloomy snowy day today here so no sunlight for good picture taking. Have a great Sunday.

Hugs,
Maria
