BLOP Candy Redraw

Hello Fellow Crafters. It's foggy here today in SW Ontario with lots of frost. Snow is right around the corner and a bit late this year. I'm not complaining because except for Christmas day, I don't like snow, ice or winter weather at all.

Today's post announces the winner of my BLOP candy below. The first winner did not respond so I've drawn another name and the winner is Jacilynn. Congratulations Jacilynn! Please email me with your address so I can mail out your prize right away.

Check back often this week as I have lots of blog candy coming up to celebrate my birthday plus upcoming holidays. Stay tuned.

Hugs,
Maria

Inspiration & Challenge

Short post and no card today as I've been under the weather this week. But checkout the Humble Pie blog for today's inspiration and the latest altered item challenge. The DT has some yummy baking going on in the kitchen and there's some calorie-free scrumptious goodies for a prize too. Woohooo!! Join us in the fun and submit your own altered creation. You don't have to use a Humble Pie Image but if you have one, we'd love to see it.

Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends today and Happy inking.

Hugs,
Maria

Just Magnolia & Friday Sketchers

Checkout the DT's inspiration over at both the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog and the Friday Sketchers blog. This is my submission to Just Magnolia's masking challenge and the the talented Jeanette's sketch challenge at Friday Sketchers. Tilda Santa's Little Helper and Holly Letter both from the NEW So Snowy Magnolia Collection were purchased earlier this month from Heidi at the Little Stamp Shoppe. I was so happy to be able to get these early so I could start making Christmas cards and also using the stamps for scrapbooking.

Humble Pie Circle Sketch Challenge

Come join us over at Humble Pie Stamps for this week's challenge to make a circle card. Your image doesn't have to be a Humble Pie Stamp but if you have one we'd love to see you create with it. You have until midnight on Thursday, November 19 and a winner will be selected by Random.org. The lucky winner will be awarded $10 in Humble Pie Money to spend on Humble Pie stamps of their choice.

Here's my DT submission to this week's challenge. I love making circle cards using my Nestabilities and Cuttlebug. This is a quick way to add a tag or card to a gift. I used a MS snowflake punch for the gold snowflakes and added jewellery spacers and blingy brads from my stash to the snowflakes. I coloured Maggie Tangled in Lights, exclusively available at The Town Scrapper, with Copics (C2, E000, E00, E21, E31, E35, E39, R20, BG000, R24, R29, G05, G24, Y15 & Blender). For some bling, I added Xmas Red and Crystal Stickles to Maggie's hat. The ribbon with presents is from my stash.

HP Circle Challenge

Here's a close-up of the image in all its glitter glory. I was going to add Stickles to all the lights as well, but didn't like how the one I did stickle turned out. I've left it that way so you can see the difference. Oooh I just noticed, I forgot to colour in her eyes properly - urrrrgh, don't know how I missed that!

HP Circle Challenge Close Up

That's all for today. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend. Weather forecasters are predicting sun here in SW Ontario for the whole weekend so I hope they're right.

Hugs,
Maria

Peachy Magnolia

IMG_2989

Happy Thursday stampers! I'm in denial that winter is coming and that Christmas is just around the corner so I'm going to squeeze in a couple more non-Christmas/non-winter themed cards. Today it's Tilda's turn to be spotlighted. I've inked up this cute Tilda I picked up from Phebe's store, the Town Scrapper. Phebe has a large selection of beautiful Magnolia, CC Designs, Greeting Farm, MFT, Kraftin' Kimmie, Wags'n Whispers, Whiff of Joy stamps and of course her signature line of exclusive Humble Pie stamps. She also has a great assortment of wonderful accessories for making cards and scrapbook pages. Just look at this gorgeous stamped image, beautiful Prima flowers, brads and pearls. All from Phebe's great store.

IMG_2987

Today's card was made just because and isn't it fun to do just that!? I stamped Tilda on Beckett Expression CS with Memento ink and used Copics to colour her (E000, E00, E21, R20, BG000, B00, C2, C3, E31, E35, E39, G20, G24, G82, YR000, Yr00, YR02, YR20 & Blender). I sponged the edge of the image with SU Close to Cocoa ink and cut out the image with my Labels 8 Spellbinder Nestabilities. I used Magnolia paper and the ribbon is from my stash. Button was sent to me by the generous and very talented Stephanie. The heart charm was sent to me by my sweet and also very talented friend Nikki.

Don't forget to visit the Humble Pie Stamps blog as it's hopping with activity with great tutorials, tips, and challenges. Our Team Blog Hop is also underway introducing the new Sweetie Pie line of stamps just in time for the Christmas Holidays. Don't forget there's also still time to participate in Friday's Challenge. Once you have visited all DT members' blogs, you will end up at the Humble Pie Stamps blog, where you can register for a chance to win the GRAND PRIZE! Phebe, owner of The Town Scrapper (sole retailer of HUMBLE PIE STAMPS) is generously offering the FABULOUS GRAND PRIZE OF TWO OF THE ADORABLE, JUST RELEASED HUMBLE PIE STAMPS of YOUR CHOICE as well as A SURPRISE ASSORTMENT OF GOODIES!!! Just look at these images! Don't you just want them all and just in time to get those holiday cards ready!

But there's more: Today, as part of our Blop, I'm also offering this awesome prize, which includes 4 stamped images of the soon-to-be-released Snowman, along with a clear snowflake stamp, holographic embossing powder, a few felt snowflakes with blingy brads and blue self-adhesive rhinestones.

I got to play with this adorable snowman and he's just perfect for a holiday card. I wanted to try a few different techniques so my layout is simple. This was a super easy and fast card to put together and one that I will make again as it was a lot of fun. So I created my own DP for this card by using a snowflake stamp inked with frost white shimmer paint and coloured the image with a combination of Copics (Booo, B00, C2, C3, R20, R29, YG11 & YG17), siren red Smooch, glitter and pearls to embellish the Humble Pie Snowman. Felt snowflakes and bling brads are all from my stash. The Let it Snow sentiment is one of the new Humble Sentiments and Happy Holidays is SU.

Greeting Farm Beauty

Here's Madelyn, one out of 5 Twinkle Tots from the newest release from the Greeting Farm. I love these stamps. They ink up so crisp and clear and the rubber is an excellent quality. This stamp is one of my faves so I couldn't resist taking her home when I saw it at Phebe's store, the Town Scrapper. Phebe has a great selection of Greeting Farm stamps, including the newest releases, so be sure to contact her at info.townscrapper.com before these goodies get all scooped up.

IMG_2977

Inked up Madelyn with Memento and stamped her on Beckett Expression CS. I coloured the image with Copics (B0000, E000, E00,E01, E25, E27, E31, R20, R81, R83, R85, RV0000, RV000, RV00, RV09, YG0000, YG00, YG03 & Blender). Card is 6x6 and layered with Crate Paper DP ~ Bliss Collection ~ love this paper. I couldn't resist adding the Prima Pebbles to the Prima flower Essentials. The stamp, paper, flowers and Pebbles can all be found at Phebe's store. My wonderful friend Bernie sent me these gorgeous heart shaped hat pins and I've been hoarding them for just the perfect card. Ribbon is from my stash and the layout I cased from the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog.

Here's a close-up.
