Support for Cancer Research

I'm very slowly getting back into the swing of things but I won't be posting everyday. My time is split between school, work, homework, piano, swimming, basketball, hockey, housework and finally slowly organizing my craft materials. My hobby/obsession has overtaken 3 rooms in the house and I've got to get everything into 1 and in an orderly fashion - what a job!

Onto today's card: The picture was taken really really late last night and the weather is so dreary today that this is the best I could do in a rush. Isn't the new Tilda Ice/Ballet Princess from Magnolia's 2008 Pink Collection just adorable? Funny story about this Tilda - I went shopping at the Town Scrapper about 2 weeks ago but didn't come home with this Tilda. Well, you should have heard my girls. They were so disappointed I didn't take them along cause I was assured this Tilda was no. 1 on their list of 'must haves' - lol. Good thing Phebe still had 1 so I went back to pick Tilda up and bring her home for my girls - ok for me too. This is 1 card in a series of 5 that I'll be donating to Phebe to raise money for the fight against Cancer. Such a worthwhile cause and helping in this small way makes me feel like I'm contributing somehow.

It took me a long while to come up with the idea to use these flourishes (Sissix die) to frame a seat for Tilda. I'm pleased with the simplicity of the card and hope you like it too.

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind supportive comments.

Hugs,
Maria
