Pink Cat Studio - Paper Piecing

Pink Cat Studio has some exciting new releases today. Melissa has added Paper Piecing Projects to her collection of gorgeous rubber stamps and digi images. She is one very creative lady and her paper piecing images are both adorable and very versatile. They can be used for cardmaking, scrapbooking and to create 3D projects. The project files are formatted for those who like to cut and paper piece by hand and for those who have an electronic cutter.

This is the first of 2 cards I made to test out the Panda image and let me tell you I had a blast putting this together. Even my daughters got into it and offered their opinions on my selection of papers for piecing this Panda together. Drat, I just noticed I forgot to add colour to his cheeks. I had planned on using copics but somehow forgot ~ there's always next time ~ lol. I've pop dotted the Panda ~ my daughters have lovingly named Cuddles ~ , including his arm and tail, for added dimension.

Here's a
link to the webpage where you can see all of the new Paper Piecing Projects. There is a free butterfly project you can download and try out as well. Melissa's having a contest using the free butterfly and the winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to spend in the rubber or digital store. Visit the Pink Cat Studio Blog for the free butterfly download and for more details on how to enter the contest. Also checkout the great tutorials Melissa's put together on paper piecing here.

Check back tomorrow for my 2nd card which I also made by paper piecing another Panda.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by to visit,
Maria
