Here's my Guest DT card for this week's 'make your own flowers' challenge over at Wags n Whiskers. You know from yesterday's post how thrilled I am to have been invited for a one week guest spot. Wooohooo!
Well, this Angel Whispers image is just the sweetest and of course the artist is none other than the very talented Crissy Armstrong. I found colouring the cute puppy a real challenge. I find animals in general tricky to colour. But its good to try something outside your comfort zone and overall, I'm really pleased with my card.
I have been hoarding these gorgeous Imaginisce papers - Fairest of Them All - since last year just for the right card and image. Flowers were made with the EK Success Medium Retro Flower punch and then I added the lovely charms and beautiful Bazzil pearl brads, all of which I've also been hoarding and saving. Anyone else do the hoarding and 'saving' thing too - wink and lol?
I'm also entering the card into this week's Sketch Saturday challenge. I love this layout and will use it again and again.
Here's a close-up: I used the blender pen a bit more and left some white spots - oh shocking I know - but again I like to try new techniques and usually after a few tries, it grows on me. e
