Christmas at A Spoon Full of Sugar

Hi Again Everyone and thanks for stopping by for my second post of the day.  This week's challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar is Christmas.  Take a peek at my Teamies creations for inspiration and we hope you will join us with a project of your own just in time for the holidays.  We have 2 generous sponsors this week: Denise of Whimsy Stamps is offering a $15 Gift Certificate and Nikki from Bunny Zoe's Crafts is offering a $10 Gift Certificate ~ woohoo.

I couldn't wait to use my new Webster's Pages Christmas DP with this beautiful Bildmalarna image, Mimosa Lights the Way, purchased at Bunny Zoe's Crafts.  Mimosa was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black in onto Xpress-it Blending Card and coloured with Copics.  I had a bit of a hard time colouring with the reds as they tend to bleed like no other colours do.  For embellishments, I added a felt Poinsetta flower, sentiment sticker from Michael's, yellow rhinestone star on top of the tree, Cuttlebug corner die,  round red rhinestones and some yellow flourishes that were left in my stash.  I didn't add any other layers of DP because I didn't want to 'hide' the pretty paper.  The balls on the Christmas tree spell out Joy, Love, Believe and Miracle ~ perfect holiday sentiments.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
This is the last A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge for  2010 and the challenge will stay open until January 10, 2011. We'll be back with a new challenge on Tuesday, January 2011.

you were darn right not to cover up that paper - how utterly beautyful! And the folds on the lil' bildmalarna gals dress are just absolutely perfect. That's some seriously wonderful colouring here!!Loving the felt poinsettia almost to the point of stash envy, lol

Hi, Maria!
What a lovely card you've created here! Your image is so cute, but the coloring is simply fantastic! I also love Webster's pages and sometimes I wonder if they are meant to be covered, after all :)).
Great job!
Hugs, iulia

Maria how sweet this is and that image is adorable! I love how you didn't cover up that beautiful Webster's pages paper and enhanced it with just enough embellishments! Beautifully done! hugs, Angela
