Favourite Time of Year

Happy Sunday and thank you for stopping by to visit!  My card is for the challenge at Sundays with Crissy and the theme is to make a card or project to celebrate your Favourite Time of Year.  Crissy's giving away some sweeeeet blog candy to one lucky winner who uses one of her digital images in their creation. But you don’t have to use one of her images, if you just want to play along.

My favourite time of year is SUMMER and I made this card by combining two digital images.  The main image is by the bestest Crissy Armstrong, Budding Artist sold by Wags 'n Whiskers and the background image is Rainbow Meadow by my good friend Zoe.  Aren't these just perfect together!  

The scenery was challenging for me to colour and quite honestly, I usually stay away from sceneries as I find them difficult to colour.  But all in all, I'm really pleased with my first attempt.  Grass was sponged with chalk first and then ragged with 2 different green Copics.  The clouds (although not quite visible in the picture) were also ragged with a light gray Copic (C3 ~ I think).   No embellies on the card as I wanted the focus to be the main image and believe me when I tell you that it was soooooo very hard not to add a ribbon, flowers and charms or pins.   Sorry no Copic list today as I forgot to jot them down.
